Our story

We are a family who loves the simple, meaningful ways of life that have been passed down through generations. With two young boys, our days are busy, full of energy, and sometimes chaotic, but that’s exactly what makes our journey so real.

In our home, gardens grow, kitchens are always busy, and every moment is an opportunity to teach, learn, and share the skills, knowledge, and traditions that have shaped families before us.

Through The Heritage Living Co, we hope to inspire others to connect with their homes, nurture their families, and carry forward the simple, lasting ways of living, even in the midst of a modern, busy life.

Why we choose the "old ways"

As we grew from young adults into parents, we began to notice the value in returning to simple, thoughtful ways of living. It wasn’t about giving up anything, it was about learning, experimenting, and discovering how our ancestors lived.

Cooking from scratch, growing food, and being connected to the land. Over time, this curiosity expanded to every part of our home, from the food we eat to the products we use, aiming for natural, non-toxic, and meaningful choices.

Choosing the old ways is about grounding ourselves in what matters most: teaching our children practical skills, nurturing our home, and living in tune with the basics that have stood the test of time.

How we live, What we've learned

Over the years, we’ve found ways of living that feel right for our family, from growing and cooking our own food, to choosing natural, non-toxic products for our home, and teaching our children practical skills.

We are always learning, adapting, and discovering better ways, and along the way we’ve had plenty of soft loaves of bread, garden beds that didn’t thrive, and experiments that didn’t work out.

Through this, we’ve reached a point where the ways we grow, bake, and cook truly work for our family. From fresh loaves of bread to wholesome treats the kids love, we focus on keeping things simple, natural, and nourishing, while still making meals and snacks that bring joy and flavor. It’s a process of learning and adapting, but it’s one that has helped us create a home where food, family, and connection all come together.
